Scott Kuhl Warning: I may have no idea what I am talking about!

I guess third time is the charm.  Oryan finally responded with an actual answer to my question:

You can have up to 2 devices with one subscription. Keep in mind you will need to relicense tracks more often when you sync 2 devices.

To correct this problem, try relicensing the tracks within the Yahoo! Music Engine.

First, select your 'My Music' tab and locate the album with which you are experiencing this difficulty. Select the song and right click on it to bring up the song menu. Choose 'relicense track' to connect to our servers and refresh this songs license.

You may do this for multiple songs by shift-clicking each song in your list prior to right clicking the group.

Sounds it sounds possible to cut my subscription down from two accounts to one when our year is up, but it also sounds buggy.  This also assumes the rules will not change.

The relicensing is quite buggy. I often get wierd error messages and still have trouble trying to get the music to sync to my device.

I agree that Yahoo! Customer service leaves much to be desired :)
I purchased some songs, then had to reformat my harddrive. I asked them how I could play my songs again (the licenses seem to have been lost).

I said in each support mail that I was NOT a Yahoo! Unlimited subscriber, and each time they replied (twice, once one month after my original mail), they gave me instructions valid only for Unlimited subscribers.

In their second reply they gave me instructions on how to backup my licenses.... Very useful since I already reformatted!

My problem is still unresolved!

My rant about this is on my blog :

Look for the 4-DEC-2006 and 14-DEC-2006 postings.

Can anybody tell me how to get in touch with Yahoo Customer Care? Searching it in Yahoo Web Site requires a lot of time. I couldn't get it.

My problem is that I signed for the new version of my Web and all my saved pages in the old version got lost. How can I get them back? I am regretting signing up.

I just got excellent Yahoo! PHOTO support at yahoo-photos@certifiedcustomercare.com. Don't know whether it came (second try) because I asked for a real person; the first reply to me was automated, of course. It did take some searching to find their e-mail, though.

Maybe try other sector names instead of photos?

Be careful with Yahoo personals. When you close your account with them they will still bill your credit card (Even though you have no active personal account) AND there is NO WAY TO GET IN TOUCH WITH THEM (by email, phone and even the credit card company cannot get through to them.) If you sign up, make sure you use a credit card you plan on canceling.

It's a good thing I read the above comments and the problems with Yahoo. I guess Yahoo is harder to contact then the
CIA. And is not too checked out on problem solving. I was going to subscribe to Yahoo instead of AOL but not now!

OK, Let me pile on with how non-existent yahoo's customer service is. I'm simply trying to cancel my yahoo.briefcase account. Clicked on help, typed in a simple "how do I cancel my briefcase account" question and was directed to a page that did not contain the cancellation link referred to in their "help" response. Since there are no human points of contact, I will have to cancel my credit card to cancel my account. Nice going Yahoo! Looks like you lost another customer.

I work for a company that promotes a destination, (that will remain nameless), the description of the destination on Yahoo's travel site is very negative and was submitted by a company that is trying to prevent travelers from coming here. I looked all over Yahoo's site for a phone number or e-mail address or even a mailing address....nothing. This is ridiclious!

I had my email account abruptly deactivated for what reason I have no idea. I have
tried every possible way to contact them. This company has got to be the absolute
most user unfriendly of any I have dealt with on the web. If everybody would just start
canceling their accounts, I would bet their would be a turn around. Or would they? I think
maybe they have the idea they are so big and good that nothing can stop them, but trust
me, their is one work that can stop them cold - CONSUMER!!!
They will never have to worry about me clicking on Yahoo again for any reason.

I have called two customer numbers and each of them will get to the iten I need and an automated voice will say " you have reached an error" then the phone clicks off. This happens no matter which prompt you enter. 408-349-1572 is the number I got off one of the copywrite areas. Good luck, I am going to cancel everything I have with yahoo. YES IT SUCKS!!!!

I have tried to log into the "aol@certifiedcusstomercare.com address as given. I have tried to log into the account informatin section as directed inorder to edit saved addresses, etc. and have been unable to??? I hate to enter all of the data correctly after selecting my photos, only to have all of this effort rejected?? What more can one do?? Just a lot of wasted time and still lno order completed.

YAHOO OFFICIALLY IS THE WORST SITE POSSIBLE. OFFICIALLY first the beautiful discussion boards are gone, they were fun and entertaining but nooooooo they had to censor and couldnt handle people talking. furthermore last week they cancelled my 360 blog with no explanation no NOTHING. THESE PEOPLE ARE DICK HEADS AND STUPID AT YAHOO. SERVICE SHOULD NOT WORK LIKE THIS. i removed them from my tool bar. these people are pure evil since blogs take time to develop, that is all i got to say DICKHEADS who ever is sitting on the yahoo committee.

Yea, Yahoo customer service is the worst. i was recently a victim of a person stealing my information and opening a yahoo personals account in australia. by bank called me and made me aware of the situation. now getting victimized by stolen identity is bad enough. but trying to get yahoo to refund my money has been a fight of a lifetime.

All i get is a run around department by department. each person tells me they cant do anythnig and transfer me to some one else.

finally after getting VERY upset, they gave me a email address of yahoo customer service for australia, and was told i would have to take it up with them. Email adress? are there no phones in australia? they can have yahoo personals, but no phones huh.

i am currently trying to get my local news channel involved to try to get a resolution.

but what can a single person do.... to a corporation like yahoo?

i WILL not let them take my 29$

I am paying $125 for a fantasy league with Yahoo! Something is not working in my league, yet Yahoo! won't not respond to my emails. After waiting on hold for 30 minutes, I finally spoke with someone in their Customer Service dept, who told me there is nobody I can speak with that knows anything about Fantasy Baseball. I asked what my options are, since nobody had responded to my first two emails, and his response was "send another email." I would encourage any future Fantasy Baseball players to use espn.com. I used them last season, and despite some problems, was always able to receive quality customer support. Yahoo! is a joke and does not care about its customers.

YOU KNOW THIS IS ALL JUST A WASTE OF TIME. THE YAHOO CORPORATION IS JUST A PHANTOM AS FAR AS AN OWNER, CEO OR A BOARD OF DIRECTORS GOES. THEY PROBABLY DONT EVEN KNOW HOW TO SPELL YAHOO. THEY JUST LEAVE THE WHOLE ORGANIZATION TO THE WORKING OF THE IDIOTS THEY HIRE FOR SUPPOSINGLY MENIAL JOBS BUT HAVE ALLOWED THE IDIOTS TO BE IN TOTAL CONTROL OF JUDGEMENT CALLS. MAYBE THE MENTALITY OF THE CORPORATE OFFICERS IS LESS THAN THE MENTALITY OF THE STUPIDS THEY HIRE AND THEY ARE AFRAID TO TALK TO ANYONE BECAUSE THEY DON'T HAVE THE BUSINESS KNOWLEDGE TO KNOW THIER YOU KNOW WHAT, FROM A HOLE IN THE GROUND. JUST LOOK AT IT AS STUPIDITY BREEDS STUPIDITY. THEY HAVE NO LIGITIMATE CORPORATION ADDRESS, PHONE NUMBER OR E-MAIL, THAT I HAVE BEEN ABLE TO FIND. HEAVEN HELP US IF THEY ABSORB ANOTHER FACET OF INTERNETING. SURELY MICROSOFT NETWORK WILL NOT BE SUCKED IN, BUT MONEY CAUSES INSANITY, TOO. I WILL FEEL LIKE CHUCKING MY COMPUTER. IF ANYONE KNOWS A LEGITIMATE CUSTOMER (CARE),LOL,LOL,LOL, SERVICE DEPARTMENT EMPLOYEE, WHO POSESSES THE ACCESS TO A REAL PHONE AND REALLY KNOWS HOW TO USE IT, WOULD YOU PLEASE POST IT ON THIS SITE. GOOD LUCK!!!!!!!!

My friend just emailed me about a new site at www.contacthelp.com that contains what looks like hundreds of companies, their phone numbers, instructions for reaching a live person, etc. It took me hours to find Yahoo's phone number, but this site looks like I will be able to save that time in the future. You can even upload recordings of customer service calls and update/add listings as well. In fact, it must be a new site since I just added the first comment to their listing for Yahoo. I'm sure it won't be the last :)

I was locked out of my previous email address. I gave the correct password. I asked for help and got nothing but questions, gave answers, got different questions, and so it went on. All the time I was told, I was close to access, or just one more step etc. While waiting for help I got back into the emails by luck or by accident or whatever. I then corresponded with invisible yahoo customer care person, more questions, more answers, no help. Then I got locked out again. I wanted help to change the password that seemed to be a problem, and the questions and answers, which I did not remember because I knew the password. I wanted to set up an alternate email address, because the one I had when the original email account was set up is no longer available. No help, none of these measures enabled. Then locked out again, so no access to emails about travel, health, records of a dispute as well as family and friends news etc. I paid someone to help me set up another yahoo account and paid for public computer access. When I got home yahoo said it did not recognise the new account. I did it all again from home, the account worked, I got email from yahoo saying welcome, ironic! However, I cannot get anyone from yahoo to respond to me, cannot get into the original emails, cannot set this alternate address up to link to the other one, cannot get the records I need, cannot get the addresses in my contacts swapped over to this new address. I am a technophobe and a techno idiot, but I need my emails, and I think I deserve some help from the company that advertises they are "here 24/7"...????????????????? All weekend they were not there at all..messages on screen saying so....today there is a message saying they know about someproblem attaching emails, and are trying to fix it...meantime no help, no satisfaction, no service and no emails!
