Awesome ride today. I want to try to stress how big of a deal this ride was to me. Typically I throw my bike into/onto a vehicle to get down into and back out of the valley. Today I rode up the hill from the valley back to my house. That was a huge deal for me. It is not nearly L'Alpe D'Huez (roughly 8.5 miles, 3650 vertical feet) but our little hill (roughly 3/4 mile, 350 vertical feet) has been a huge psychological barrier for me. Yes you serious cyclists will laugh at the piddly little gain - but I did it and I felt pretty good doing it! The best part is that I don't have to shove my bike in the car any more! I can ride down into the valley, get on the bike trails and ride back home! Yeah, baby! From now on I'm only going to provide the info and link to the MotionBased site... basically MotionBased rocks and I just like it so much better than my cobbled-together solution. I can really use your help. I have set a personal goal to raise $2000 for the Mike Utley Foundation and I don't have much time to meet that goal. Donations are fully tax deductible, of course. You can donate online with a credit/debit card at: http://www.mikeutley.org/shop/product.esiml?PID=4 - please make sure to put my name Steve Bargelt, in the "Rider's Name" field! If you would prefer to write a check please contact me via the contact form on this site, enter your correct email address and I will respond with details of how to get the check to me. tags: motionbased, gps, bicycling, dam2dam, cycling, bike
