I think all of us heard it loud and clear. Application Security is a big and growing concern amongst developers. In November we held a Web cast series (dubbed Web Security November). The first web cast in the series had over 550 Canadian attendees. It is by far the biggest web cast we ever did at MSDN Canada. It was so big we had nothing to compare it to. Anecdotally, one of my friends attended a Web cast by Donald Trump on Apprentice a few months back. Good ol’ Donald had something over 600 attendees, lets guesstimate it 700 at the most. I am determined to top that with SECURITY ON THE BRAIN Web cast series.
This series with Dan Sellers, our MSDN Canada Security guru, features speakers such as Rick Samona (keynoting the web cast series) as well as our “MS corp guys”: Mike Downen, Rob Walters and Martyn Lovell. These guys will be tackling several aspects of application security: key insights and practical information on how you can develop applications with enhanced security. The series are designed so you can benefit the most if you attend all 5 web casts. Also, just to make it more fun for those of you who plan on attending the series, we will (virtually) raffle an Xbox 360. Find out how you can increase your odds of winning.
I hope to see a lot of people at these web casts. Donald, here we come!!
