Sasha Krsmanovic Canadian Developer Community Update

The first day of DevTeach 2005 was dedicated to UG Leaders, the year behind us and the year ahead of us. We got some great news from Julie Lerman of INETA; now we have 5 Canadian liaisons. All 27 .NET user groups in Canada will now have a much better ability to leverage INETA NORAM programs.

Overall, I am very happy with the feedback they provided MSDN about the four user groups we did, the user group competition, certification workshops, Canadian speakers bureau and other programs we have in place for supporting user groups in Canada. We had many new ideas during the one day summit; I hope to implement as many as possible in the year ahead.

Many many thanks to all user group leaders who attended; I would encourage all other user group leaders in Canada to attend the DevTeach 2006 UG Leader summit.

TOP: Guy (Visual Studio .NET User Group), Sylvain (Montreal .NET User Group), Kate (East of Toronto User Group), Rob (Toronto Visual Basic User Group), Louis (Toronto .NET User Group), Nolan (Victoria .NET User Group)

BOTTOM: Sasha (MSDN Canada), Medhat (.netBC User Group), Jean-Rene(DevTeach chair and Visual Studio .NET User Group leader), Orest (Ottawa .NET User Group).
