Chatting with microsoft experts, book authors

For the last few weeks I have been working on deploying chats infrastructure for MSDN Canada website. The previous version had some limitations --> it required certain ports to be open. The new chat, Chats 2.0, are completely web based. Port 80!!!!

So what's this chatting with microsoft experts, book authors title? Developers are picky, so if they have questions, they want expert answers to it. For the 3 chats I scheduled so far I lined up AWESOME experts for topics in BizTalk, Security and Gaming.

Our first chat is on December 13th 2004 11:00 A.M. - 12:00 P.M. Pacific time, and is based on our “Building Connected Applications Deep Dive“ we just did in Canada.

Join Microsoft Developer Specialists Adam Gallant and Ryan Storgaard, Enterprise Integration Solutions authors Devin Spackman and Mark Speaker, MSDN Regional Director John Bristowe, and MSDN Regional Director Sylvain Duford for an exciting Connected Systems chat.
This chat is a follow-up to the very popular Connected Systems MSDN Deep Dive Canadian tour which recently wrapped up.
Did you attend the Deep Dive and now have some questions for our presenters, or maybe couldn't make the Deep Dive but have some questions on building Connected Systems using Web Services Enhancements or BizTalk 2004 or Enterprise Integration?
Are you embarking on an Integration project and would like to pose some Integration questions to our guest authors or have questions from their book?
Well, make sure to attend this Connected Systems chat as this is your chance to pose questions on getting started with Service Orientation, Web Services Enhancements, and BizTalk 2004 as well as receive integration tips from the MSPress Enterprise Integration Solutions authors themselves.

For those of you interested, there is no registration --> just join the chatroom at the time of the event.  I suggest you book your calendar so you dont miss it.

The second chat on December 14th (11:30 A.M. - 12:30 P.M. Pacific time) will focus on Developing Secure Applications. The focus of this chat will be on how to write Secure ASP.Net Web Application. The primary focus will be on the writing of secure Code to prevent the most common type of hacking techiques as follows:

  • Sql Injection Attacks
  • Cross Site Scripting
  • Canonical Representation Issues
  • Authentication Spoofing

The experts will be our .NET Specialists Dan Sellers, Ryan Storgaard and book author and MVP  Keith Brown. Keith is the author for a number of books, some of which are:.NET Developer's Guide to Windows Security, Effective COM, Hall of Shame,Programming Windows Security

I guess you don't want to miss that one either, so book your calendar now!! :-)

The third chat will be with our DirectX mavericks --> Tom Miller (Author of many books, including the upcoming Writing a game using Managed DirectX) , Alexandre Lobao (the author of Beginning .NET Game Programming in C#) , David Weller (the author of Beginning .NET Game Programming in C#). I will post something around this chat in my next posting.
