Cricket fever is here again…

Watching news on the telly made me realize how much involved Pakistan is with cricket right now. I am amazed at the fact that in Pakistan people of all ages are fascinated by this sport and getting togather for the Indo-Pak series.

I am not that much in touch with cricket or like the game very much but will defiantly watch the Pakistan vs. India (India coming to Pakistan after 15 years) encounter tomorrow morning. I will cheer for my team with all my heart, lets see what the out come is. I am optimistic but one never knows.

On another note we are also having our own 'Josh' (passion as in Urdu) cricket tournament at my university (SZABIST) and like always we have progressed to the semi finals, Mashallah. Great! Guys keep it up, as obvious I dont play in the class team but then I always like to go out with the girls to cheer my team up. I hope we break our semi final curse this year and go in to the finals and best win the tournament.

yeah, outright enthusiastic and excited, I just saw everyone rushing to ask if they've got some spare TV or cable or anything of the sort which they didn't care earlier on having (like me). It's wildly excitement here in Karachi and I could tell there were no tickets when my friend got to have two (I didn't ask for that, though) within 3 hours. Then, there are large screens being displayed at Sea View, and you know.
On the match, well, I hope if we could see Tendulkar and Sehwag putting up a great innings like past, no one's gonna blame anyone. The bowling at Indian team might suffer but you know we are bad chasers and it hurts to accept anyway. So, I would pray that Pakistan doesn't have to chase or we see Tendulkar Jamming in, which would still be cool to watch a sizzling century-innings. But, then, it's cricket!
Oh, by the way, nice to be on your blog. I wonder if India produces more .NET bloggers than US even. I have come across only two designers (need to meet more) so may be checking out your links. Keep up the good work, pal.

Oh, it was a sizzling start by Indian batsmen, indeed. Thanks to Shoaib's early take on Tendulkar but none could stop Sehwag from getting it to runs average to 10+. That reminds us of 96 worldcup partnership of Saeed Anwar and Amir Sohail against India. Pakistan lost that match, suprisingly, though. Let's see if Pakistan can finally do what it mostly hopes for - Miracles. Coz, as said earlier, Pakis are bad chasers and I don't know why Inzi didn't try Shoaib Malik and Abdul Razaq in the first 15 overs. But overall, it was a good batting and poor fielding match. And we shouldn't forget Dravid's very aspiring batting as well, too poor the smart dude couldn't get 100 the smart way. So, who'd win now?

I am so happy at how the Pakistani team chased the huge Indian total, I loved how the team played, the late overs were a little off the mark though.

I really did not like the extras 30+, I think that was way of the mark.

Otherwise, Good work Pakistani team! both sides played good criket worth enjoying till the end but only one team can win, right?! Congragulations Tejas, India it was today!
