I seem to be having a lot of problems lately with phantom bugs. What in the world are Phantom bugs? - you say. Well, that's the cute term I came up with for bugs that QA or other developers see, report it, and then when I try to reproduce it - poof! it ain't there.
After struggling for an hour or so to try and reproduce the bug, I generally end up at the bug finder's desk. Miraculously, he/ she can't reproduce it either. I am not sure if it was a particular condition that existed at the time - or if it was something that the bug finder messed up.
Anybody have good strategies for this?
