My soapbox item for today...

<venting>

It drives me crazy when people say blanket statements like:
"Well...I heard <insert some random crap here> from Microsoft"
or
"Microsoft says <insert more random crap here>"

So my question is this: Who IS MIcrosoft? Is it some person that you know that works there? It it a blog that you're reading? Is it something that you really want to exist but really doesn't?

Please find some other lame statement when you are trying to pass the buck.

I long-ago tired of "best practice" only to be superceded by "Microsoft says it's best practice". I feel your pain. 8/10/2007 2:39 PM | Philip

I'm sooo noot a trekkie but...

You do realize that Microsoft is like the Borg. Those people were told by &quot;the collective&quot;.

Another good question to ask those people..

*When* did &quot;Microsoft&quot; say it? If we want to go back a few years, I can find some good ones for you.

Long live DCOM!!
