When creating a new Site Collection in WSS 3.0 you will get the following groups by default (assuming the name of Site Collection is Geekette)
- Geekette Members - contribute permissions
- Geekette Owners - full control permissions
- Geekette Visitors - read permissions
When you migrate a site from V2 to V3, these groups will not be created. The reason I mention this - a lot of the documentation for WSS 3.0 (for example, installation of the Fantastic 40 Templates) refers to these groups. If you have migrated a site, just substitue the groups or users with the corresponding permissions from V2.
