Happy New Year to me from Microsoft when I learned I received my first MVP Award (Visual Developer - Visual Basic.).  I am honored and in awe.  I've met many MVPs as I have worked with user groups and Code Camps; they are a fantastic bunch of people.  I'm honored to be included.

Special thanks for helping me achieve this honor to:

  • Brian for his continued mentoring and encouragement from the day I began learning .NET and leading a user group
  • Chris for starting the Roanoke Valley .NET User Group and then moving away BUT staying in touch with me and guiding me.  Also thanks to Chris for introducing me to communities beyond Roanoke via Code Camps.
  • Andy and Frank for welcoming me to the Richmond community, including me as a part of their community and introducing me to their large network.
  • Andrew for being a supportive Developer Evangalist for RV.NUG and encouraging me to be a member of the midAtlantic community at large.
  • RV.NUG for being such a fantastic user group.  Working with you guys is the best and what started it all!

Robin,

Congratulations...it's well deserved. You are definitely one of the pillars of the community, and neither 'noke or Richmond would be the same without you. Thanks for all that you do!
