SharePoint - Edit Word Document - Will not open

Seems that the issues I was experiencing with the Word 2007 Addins and/or the LaserFiche "send to Word" had been the cause of some problems in SharePoint.  When I tried to Edit a Word document - nothing happened.  Literally nothing. Once I corrected the problems with the mouse not responding (see recent posts on this), I was able to edit a Word document once again.

Word 2007 - Mouse Not Responding - Part 2

Turns out my problem was due to LaserFiche.  Running LaserFiche 7.2 the "Send to Word" functionality was preventing the mouse from responding within a Word document.  Funny thing, it had happened in previous versions of Word also.

If you are a LaserFiche user you need to apply HotFix SCR28596, Knowledge Article 1011746.
