It's only a root canal

Two weeks ago, I started with a headache on a Friday evening.  By Monday morning it was obvious this was the result of a tooth.  I get an emergency dentist appointment and he determines I need a root canal.  I've never had one; but it doesn't sound fun.  He tells me he will do the preliminary work now and schedule me an appointment with an endodontist.

Today is my root canal.  Being new at this I called the office yesterday to see if I need to do anything - arrange a ride etc.

"Hello, Dr. Torture's office, how may I help you?"

"I have an appointment tomorrow.  Do I need to do anything prior to the appointment or arrange for a ride?"

"Your name?"

"Scared Patient"

"One moment, let me see what you are having done?" <pause> "Oh no honey, you don't need to do anything.  You're ONLY having a root canal!"

Does this mean I am silly to have any  fears or anxiety?  If so, it's not happening.
