Roanoke Valley( Virginia) .NET User Group (RV.NUG) Meeting - Tomorrow - Thursday 5/4/06 - 6 pm
Our group is growing every month - it's exciting! Tomorrow we have an INETA sponsored speaker - Sahil Malik presenting on ADO.NET - System.Transaction and distributed transactions. I've heard Sahil speak before and he can take a complex topic and break it apart so it's easy to understand. I'm looking forward to the presentation and hoping for a great turnout to welcome him.
The summer months will bring an opportunity for members to try presenting (for 10 minutes) and write code (enhancing some starter kits).
June:
Tool-a-thon 10 minute quick presentations by our members on their favorite open-source FREE .net tool Great opportunity for first-time presenters, pick a tool, try it out and give a quick presentation
July/August
Summer coding - picnic food and Jimmy Buffet music - (flip flops required!)
Opportunity to enhance a web or windows starter kit to try / learn the techniques/functionality of your choice
July - presentation of each project by the project lead
August - Presentation on troubleshooting your code (some of us will need it by then) and continuation of projects / sharing of code
