Why Binary XML?

Here is why:

01. Metadata in Broadcast Systems
02. Floating Point Arrays in the Energy Industry
03. X3D Graphics Model Compression, Serialization and Transmission
04. Web Services for Small Devices
05. Web Services within the Enterprise
06. Electronic Documents
07. FIXML in the Securities Industry
08. Multimedia XML Documents for Mobile Handsets
09. Intra/Inter Business Communication
10. XMPP Instant Messaging Compression
11. XML Documents in Persistent Store
12. Business and Knowledge Processing
13. XML Content-based Routing and Publish Subscribe
14. Web Services Routing
15. Military Information Interoperability
16. Sensor Processing and Communication
17. SyncML for Data Synchronization
18. Supercomputing and Grid Processing

Many fear XBIN will slowly replace XML given it performs faster in all scenarios.
Good for us, that's the way it should have been done from the beginning.
Lesson learned: it is hard to put a fight against the normal course of evolution.

Ma' nature is wise.
