Vectorize the web!

I am sick of resizing fonts in web pages and getting sh1t in return.

Can we have the next web vectorized please?, so we can zoom in or out without fscking up things, and at the same time leave the resizing option so we can expand or reduce a window keeping the same resolution?

I mean, it doesn't have to be black OR white, for those of you who only think in true or false. I need both, zoom AND resize.

Btw, while you're at it, can we vectorize the OS too?

*sigh* I hope it doesn't take ten more years, this world is becoming too slow for my taste...

Gravatar I hope so, Don, I wholeheartedly hope so.
I won't accept any other dissapointment.
I'll be the first to praise it to god-level or kick it till it bleeds vectors.

Gravatar the browser is opera. opera supports a page zooming feature for that very purpose.

with a carefully designed stylesheet, a site can resize depending on the font sizing by using em's for measurement. this works in css compliant browsers and IE.

then there's SVG. i wonder when the browsers will start <a href="http://www.mozilla.org/projects/svg/">supporting it natively</a>? 3/28/2004 11:32 AM | rick

Gravatar I'm doing everything I can (short of actually working on Avalon at Microsoft) to make sure this happens. Any additional help is always welcomed. 3/28/2004 2:25 PM | donAT_NOSPAMdonxml.com (DonXML D

Gravatar I agree with both points that Rick made. I came into your blog to mention Opera, but I see he already has. Opera does a very good job of zooming in, a feature that I think should be taken out of Mozilla/Netscape since it overrides the font size but not image size. Anyway, a good website design should be able to resize its text and still look good. But thats not going to happen, so you might want to look into Opera for some of your browsing. 3/31/2004 7:09 AM | Rj
