WPF/E and web designers?

I know a lot of friends who are web designers or "Flash Gods" in ActionScript when it comes to designing websites. I learned that only a hand-full of them (some through heated conversations) know C# and a few just barely touched WPF/E. My question is - Will WPF/E force web designers to become web developers? Or - Will web developers using WPF/E give web designers a run for their money? What do you think?

Addictions, a must have...

All men must a have an addiction to something. Whether it's good or bad, it must exist to maintain a steady mentality of right from wrong or what's "normal" in life. Good addictions are what society calls - hobbies. It's what balances everything in life for the male human species. Without good addictions or "a hobby", men will loose themselves naturally with the brain corrupting opportunities and habits life itself offers. Examples of a good addiction is: build something, anything will do, even if it's retarded - build it anyway. Like .NET. Learn it, then build something. Or a treehouse House where you and your developer buddies can hang out and LAN party all day (just kidding, but it would be cool to actually build a real livable tree House with a satellite dish hanging out the top of the tree for Super Bowl Sunday). Basically, as long as you're busy and you're not bored, you're good to go. Boredom is the 8th deadliest sin. Have fun...

It's getting pretty complicated - Good!!!

When you're building a new site and you start coming across code that's breaks something somewhere else, you then realize, you've just entered something I call - the Funnel Effect. The funnel effect is when you begin a project without any limitations to complete the project, then after a while while building the project, new code is breaking other parts of the project - thus, you've just entered the funnel effect. Of course in .NET, you have many different options or "workarounds" you can create and use. Well, this morning I discovered one. The lame use of Page.Databind(). NEVER forget the if (!Page.IsPostback). You'll spend HOURS of "What the hell is going on?" with the infinite flow of "the yellow page of death" compile errors or notice there are no postbacks or paging. I don't know if .NET is literally a major waste of my time or if I'm a complete idiot (most likely, I'm a complete idiot). Sometimes the most simple, most common sensual things if life are the most important ones and reminds you not to take things for granted.

Just a side thought. My girlfriend is big, fat, and ugly. Ugly enough to be a Victoria's Secret model with a big heart and nothing but phat love... :)

It's almost finished - Finally...

I'm almost done with Community.Glacsy.com and just finished the last bits of the sign-up system. It's pretty awesome considering it's built by hand, by me and wasn't easy to do even though ASP.NET 2.0 has a great Membership API. But if you know me, I'm very detailed and picky when it comes to things like this. So, I stripped it out, dissected it, and came up with this new cool little sign-up with "My Experience Activation". It's like putting together a 1964 Corvette. You take your time with it, treat it as your best hobby ever, then when you're done, you take a step back and simply glare at your new creation and embrace the awesome feeling of "How in the hell did I do that?" and end it with a "Wow, that's is just so cool, now what else?". My goal is to build a site better than Baby Phat.com, Victoria's Secret.com, and Loreal.com and imagine if they where all mutated together into a single site. That is my goal. Yes I know, I have a lot of work to do. I know this will be a great thing for Glacsy. Well, back to coding...

The Extension of Me...

Today I learned that my girlfriend is the exact extension of me - Clueless at times, goofy as ever, smart as hell, loves business and computers, and a complete dork. I considered this a very good thing because we rarely argue (when we do, it's NOT pretty). I just image how lucky I am to have someone like her especially when I tell my friends about her (they tend to give me a funny look). For those who are still wondering, perfect relationships DO exist, but it takes a butt-load of effort from both of you to make it happen. To all men, when she's happy, you're happy - NEVER forget that...

It's going to be a great year...

Wow, with yesterday being to first day of the year it's already starting off great. For the first time of my life, I found my real father. The story? Well for short, when I was 6 years old, I was adopted and raised by the Linder family. Since then, I've never seen or met any of my real/biological family. Well, yesterday changed all of that and for the first time after 21 years, I spoke to my dad and grandpa. Come to find out I have 2 younger sisters and a brother. I also found out that my real name is Jae Aaron Jackson. This summer I plan to meet them all in person and am very excited about it (finally get to go fishing again).
