I miss Issue Tracking System (ITS), and also the people who call themselves a software tester.

Before my current job, I was working as a programmer developing applications for education sector. My team consist of about 3 to 5 programmers working with the same or different projects. We used Issue Tracking System (ITS) to assign tasks and review reports, which is a very helpful tools to improve software development process. All the task, file, documentation, task history can be track back later. But to me, it is not just a productivity tool. It also act as a motivational tools to me as a programmer.  Whenever I received task assigned to me, I am very eager to assign the issue to our testers (quality control). I am proud if the tester not assign back the issue to me, which means that I'm doing my work correctly.

No doubt that the existing of powerful IDE like VS2005 or VS .NET to facilitate the app development process have made the tedius task more easily. Just drag and drop the control, Choose Data Source..and 'F5'. The app will run smoothly. But the actual life is not that perfect. Often the requirement is very complex. I often need to used <asp:TemplateField> in my asp.net 2.0 gridview control to add another web control in it such as DropDownList or CheckBox. But the problem at the early stages, we are not aware of it. Thus, we just drag and drop the gridview control from VS2005 toolbox, Choose Data Source, and F5 :)..whoalaa....all the data is displaying perfectly. Think we need to develop some our internal custom control for our internal used.
