Last week my manager come to me and ask me to develop a prototype for our new project next year. So the deadline is must be before next year. Which me not less than 10 days. The problem is, the system that need to develop must use all the new features in VS 2005. Thats sounds good for me :). But why is it a problem. Because it is a web based system, after a long time developing in Windows Forms I found that it is hard for me to rapidly develop in asp.net. so shame on myself. I have left the web behind while there are now many interesting cool technologies like AJAX or ASP.NET 'ATLAS'.
I got my frustration on binding my object collection to new control - gridview, detailview. Just I left to set one property the collection wouldn't bind itselft, and it takes me near 1 hours to discover the problem. There are also a good improvement in development techniques in our department. No more need to type repetitive code since there are many version and template for code generator used.
My car was broke down last week in Putrajaya, Malaysia. and my customers helped me, at least I could arrived home safely. the next day, I faced some problem with my car security system, that caused me to pay RM 15 (about USD 4) to the mechanic. I should start saving because I'm thinking to buy a new car.
