The extensive data and information need to manage appropriately, so that it can provide business value to the organisation. The opportunities created by the new trends has lead to the extensive needs of Business Intelligence (BI). With many BI products on the market, it became essential to organisation to provide BI functionality in their organisation or their existing system, whether it is ERP, CRM, SCM, helpdesk or just a data storage system. There are many BI specific vendors exists in the market like Business Objects, Hyperion, SAS, and Cognos. Database vendors such as Oracle and SQL Server also incorporating or provide BI solution in their products. SQL Server Reporting Services is one of the emerging BI solutions that available in the market now. The interesting is that it can be deployed with SQL Server with the same licence. However, if it is deployed on different machine, it need another licence. With a set of comprehensive arthitecture, reporting lifecycle, guides, the reporting services must be adopted technology for the company who want to deliver world-class reporting solution.
