Today I resigned from Tecnovate eSolutions, New Delhi, India, but why am I writing this post ? Firstly, to inform my friends and colleagues. Secondly, I would like to share an incident which happened today when I resigned !
Actually I got an offer from HCL Technologies, Gurgaon, India, yesterday night and I prepared myself for resigning today. I arrived at my office and asked a friend of mine to send me the “Resignation Template” so that I can change the basic stuff in it and send it to my Project Manager (Rashi Teng). So she sent the template an I changed the so called “basic stuff” like my resignation date etc., but wait here's the catch I forgot to change my Last Date in organisation, I sent the resignation letter to my Project Manager(Rashi Teng), Team Lead(Gaurav Kumar), VP IT Services(Rohit Sharma) and an HR Executive(Meghana Khaira), but.............
If you thing this was it, then think again ! I immediately got a response from my Team Leader that dates are wrong, so I thought let's resend the mail with correct dates but again I don't know because of the nervousness I again committed the same mistake !
Again I got the same response .................huh !
Now I'm more nervous and again composed my resignation letter with an apology note, but.............
Oh my God !
Yes, you guessed it right, I again committed the mistake but this time it was the month of Last Date !
Now, I'm completely nervous and might have lost my head !
I took a few seconds and again drafted a new “Resignation Letter” but this time I ensured every thing is right and I added an apology note along with this letter.
Following is the series of my “Resignation Letters“ sent with mistakes highlighted in red.
