Understaffed

I know, I'm a cost center, but I think we're loosing more money than we would if we were staffed sufficiently.  Currently, we have around 100 outstanding bug fixes, enhancement requests, etc, and some of them are very large projects.  I'd assign them to employees, except that I don't have any that aren't already using their full bandwidth.  The list just keeps growing.

The worst part is that because we don't have the people, we're unable to move as quickly as we'd like.

We're trying to hire a new sysadmin, but the owner has effectively blocked that--not because we can't afford it, but because he doesn't think we need one.  See my post on abdication versus delegation, and you'll know which one he is. :)
