Issue Tracking

We were looking for a good issue tracking system a while back.  I'd used FootPrints in the past, which I found to be really slow and cumbersome.  We tried the IssueTracking starter kit and found it subtantially lacking.  Eventually, we tried a product called Gemini from countersoft.  They allow you 10 users for free to “get you started”.

We used this for about 6 months to a year and then realized that we could use it throughout the company.  After the exchange rate, we ended up paying $273 for a corporate license, which basically gives you the ability to use it anywhere for anything inside of your company.  That's really cheap.

We've now set it up so that any employee can put in issues into several different projects.  Our Accounting department has a project, our Data Collection department has a project, and its making it much easier to coordinate information with the other departments in the company.

If you're looking for a good issue tracking system, I highly recommend that you take a look at Gemini.

# re: Issue Tracking

Hey, thanks for the recommendation. We're incedibly proud of the innovations we put into every release of Gemini - and the new version 4 is no different. If you're thinking of upgrading your gemini bug tracker, check out the beta version.
