Here's an interesting link on the JobSyntax blog pertaining to recruiters and how to fine-tune their searches for candidates. Jim Stroud has a good three part series (Parts 1, 2 and 3) on using the search engines to return better results when looking for resumes on the internets.

So, being the good developers and engineers and the like that we are, are we fine tuning our online resumes in such a way as to make it easier to be found by the recruiters? Do you tweak your resume and postings in order to better match these sort of searches?

I haven't been so good about it, but you can bet that the next time I'm in the market for a new job I will be doing some serious thinking about leveraging this information to better link to my resume. And oh, I need to update my resume, it's a bit out of date.

Hope you use these tips to help yourself too.
