Well, I wasn't able to make it to the BarCamp Vancouver last week. Unfortunately, I would have liked to attend, I especially would have liked to go to the PhotoCamp. I'm glad to see that Roland is proposing another, longer PhotoCamp. I would definitely be in for it. Anyone else up for it ......

Since we moved here from Montreal, we have been craving a goodMontreal smoked meat sandwich. Over the past year and a half we have tried most of the places in Vancouver without too much success. Well, thanks to Roland at VanEats we heard about Zako's Deli on Broadway near Cambie. We stopped by last week to check out the smoked meat. Well, we definitely found a sandwich to rival some of the bestin Montreal. The meat was hot and melt in your mouth tender with hardly a trace of fat. The flavour was ......
I haven't had much of a chance to play with SQL Server 2005 too much yet, but some of the features are really great, such as inclusion of the CLR. Security guru Dana Epp has a great example of using SQL Server 2005 as an extra layer of highly configurable data validation using regular expressions. Here are some pictures of my other hobby, which is model making. I have painstakingly made models of downtown Vancouver and Whistler, BC. They take many hours of work, and are very labour intensive.... OK, so I lied, these are all actually fake tilt-shift pictures which give the illusion of a model.
