Dark Miracle
This is an awesome story of the writer's journey to the Trinity test site where the first nuclear weapon test was done back in 1945. The site is opened to the public twice a year and this piece captures the feeling it. It's also a great trip into the history of the atomic bomb development and tests. A highly recommended read.
Mystery Hotel
Speaking of history Shane takes us on a trip using an old picture he bought and has been trying to figure out for years. The whole thing has taken on a life of it's own with tons of bloggers writing short stories about the picture. Very cool.
