So much has been written over the past few weeks about the end of Star Wars and Star Trek, so I'll make this brief.

Spoilers Below (Just in case you haven't seen these yet)....

.........

Star Trek Enterprise: The series started off strong and then got involved in this whole time travel save the earth from imminent attack etc. and the show went downhill. It wasn't horrible but some episodes really dragged on. The series finale was especially bad. The crew was dragged in to a mission for no apparent reason (got to save a little girl yeah!) and then Tripp was killed off just like that. The whole episode seemed more like an excuse to hook into the Next Generation but it was really cheesy and it felt like the Enterprise actors weren't given a chance to take a last bow.

Star Wars Episode III: The movie was totally great and even though I was a little spoiled there were quite a few surprises for me. I thought that Grievous was well done, other characters less so. Again, there was a bit too much CGI everywhere but I imagine that gets better with repeated viewing when you have more of a chance to look around and absorb everything that's going on in the frame.

The Mace/Anakin/Palpatine confrontation was well done and it was nice to see the change in Palpatine's face explained so easily. Also, I was really glad that not everything was explained in step by step minutiae (like: Qui-Gon sir, what are midichlorians?) but instead things were just inferred such as the Palpatine/Darth Plageus history. The only thing that I found a little hard to accept was the sudden downfall of Anakin. Yes he was powerful and yes he wanted to save Padme but it was a little too quick in my opinion. The jump from stopping Mace to attacking the Jedi temple was a little too sudden.

As with the other two prequels the dialog and love story was sometimes contrived and wooden, but I guess that's what Lucas was going for the matinée-serial type of story. Meh. Whatever.

The final dialog between Anakin and Obi-Wan was very well done, and upon viewing A New Hope the next morning, I really felt for poor Ben when he spoke to Luke about his friend Anakin. Episode III tied everything together very well in that manner as well as with respect to the whole R2D2 thing.

Overall, it was a great movie, it would rate them in this order:

1. Empire Strikes Back
2. Revenge of the Sith
3. A New Hope
4. Return of the Jedi
5. Attack of the Clones
6. The Phantom Menace
