Conference Wrapup
So I unfortunately had to leave the northernvoice conference early in order to take care of some business. I was looking forward to seeing the rest of the presentations and wanted to see Chris Pirillo and speak with Robert Scoble but it didn't work out.
I did meet blogger John Husband of Wirearchy. I had a few brief conversations with other people but I lost track of names for a time, they were flushed from the cache prematurely (by all the learning goodness I guess).
I had a nice chat with Maryam Scoble whom I had met at the Montreal geek dinner back in September. It was nice to catch up and talk about non-geek things for a while.
Post Conference Party
I did make it to the after conference party at night though, it was a fairly large sized crowd but not too crowded, which was good. I got to have a long talk with a few people.
I spoke at length with Boris Mann from Bryght. The web hosting and designing solutions offered by Bryght sound very cool. Excellent value for the money for any small to medium sized business.
I also got a chance to meet Bradford Gibson, a datacenter designer from the Toronto area and podcaster who produces the Bradcast podcast.
I was very wiped from the long day and was feeling a little under the weather so I called it a night. On my way out I got to say hi to Tim Bray and thank him for the talk, it was very interesting. I didn't get to see Chris or Robert but I'll have to catch them another time, hopefully in the near future.
Update: Changed wording to be northernvoice compliant.
