Last night John Robbins spoke at the Montreal Visual Studio User's group meeting. He did a great talk about performance tuning for .NET applications as well as talking a little about perceptions and expectations that end users tend to have and a little about GUI design.

John also talked about garbage collection and how misuse of long lived and short lived objects can greatly affect the GC and hence memory usage which impacts performance. Plus a whole bunch of tips for all sorts of stuff. What a great energetic speaker!

The slides and code from John's presentation are available on the GUVSM site. Thanks again to John for a great talk.
