I really liked to original .NET rocks format as well and I'm glad that they went back to it. I found that the other segments added too much overhead to the show and made it too difficult to focus on the technical content, they just detracted from it. I'm glad they pulled the rest of the content into Mondays.
So far I have enjoyed the first three episodes of Mondays brought to you by Carl Franklin, Rory and the rest of the .Net Rocks! team. I found that the serious guests in episodes 1 and 2 added quite a bit to the show but it was interesting knowledge from “regular“ people you might not otherwise get to hear from. Episode 3 dragged a bit and there seemed to be no meat to the show, just a bunch of guys talking and laughing, although it was funny stuff.
I'll keep listening to Mondays for now, but it's got to have a little bit of content. That's why I stopped listening to Adam Curry's Daily Source Code (sorry Adam but it's all Boing! and Podcasting plugs, not much content) and never got into the Dawn and Drew show. Just not my thing I guess.
So if you want a really funny show with not much technical content then check out Mondays!
