It looks like Bill G's humanitarian efforts are not the only good things coming from the people at Microsoft. Robert Scoble writes about a call he got from the producers of ABC's Extreme Home Makeover.

The best part of Robert's writeup:

Now, this is the kind of PR opportunity that a company would kill for, right? So, why am I putting it on my blog? Because this is the kind of thing that the entire industry should share in, not just Microsoft. Thanksgiving is just around the corner. How can we help make at least one family's life a little brighter? Maybe all of us can find some more ways to help out other people. Ideas are welcome!

Instead of turning this into a “Microsoft is so generous” thing Robert is trying to get the whole industry involved to help out this family or (gosh!) maybe more people than this. That's really cool. I don't doubt that with a few calls and e-mails Robert could have had the house wired up with a Media Center PC, Wi-Fi and a Tablet PC or two but Robert is trying to get everyone involved and inspired.

Good job Robert, you just went up another notch in my book.
