So Chipis and I went to meet with Immigration Canada yesterday and she got her permanent resident status! Woot! That means she will soon be covered by health care and also be able to work. Also, no more renewing the visitor's visa, so that's good.
We're just waiting on the permanent resident card to come, so in the meantime I made up this one.
Here you go baby ;-) .... 
Update: I guess since you have that card you might as well get the Medicare card too.
