FeedDemon is my newsreader of choice.
Even though I pretty much like it, there are a few things I dislike. Today I finally took time to solve two of  the issues that bothered me.
Let me share:

1. Once I subsribed to a feed I hardly ever remove it from my subscribtion list. With 300+ feeds things get out of my hands. I need a way to distinguish between good and bad feeds. Looking around on the web I found a "ratings style" which seems like a possible solution. If you know about others solution let me know!

2. I want to keep all items from my feeds. Feed demon is having a autopurge feature which is by default set to maxSize=200, i.e. if a feed has more then 200 items the older ones get killed.
I discovered that the ChannelSummary.xml within the Cache Folder [File|Manage Cache] is responsible for the autopurge.
A search & replace autoPurge enabled="1 with autoPurge enabled="0" on that file is enough to get rid of autopurge.
