Thanks to Ron Jacobs, host of the MSDN Channel 9 ARCast show, for presenting at our user group meeting on April 13. If you missed the meeting, you missed a great event. Ron introduced developers interested in software architecture to the types of activities and thought processes that architects routinely engage in and put forth the "radical idea" that becoming an architect is not necessarily the logical career destination of every experienced developer. His presentation was done in a unique style against the backdrop of historical explorers, advocates, and designers. The PowerPoint slides are available on his website.

Mark your calendar for IPMA Forum 2006 on May 23-24 at St. Martin's. For more information about Forum, check out the Forum flyer at: http://www.ipma-wa.com/forum/2006/main.htm. I'll be giving a presentation on Windows Workflow Foundation at the Forum on May 23 at 10:15.

SSDotNet will have a booth at the IPMA Forum and I'm looking for volunteers to take turns greeting people and introducing them to our user group. If the user group provides you with value and you would like to help, then this is your opportunity! Please send me an email with your date and time availability for setup in the late afternoon of May 22, and/or staffing the booth on the 23rd or 24th.
