Microsoft SQL Server 2005 install error: mscorlib.tlb problem

I was trying to install Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Developer edition and received an error during install. 

The file C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\######\mscorlib.tlb could not be loaded. An attempt to repair this condition failed because the file could not be found. Please reinstall this program.
 
Where #### where asian characters.
 
Turns out it's a known issue by Microsoft.

1 Haga clic en Inicio , haga clic en Ejecutar , escriba regedit y, a continuación, haga clic en Aceptar .
2 Busque la siguiente subclave del Registro:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Microsoft SQL Server\100\Tools\Shell\TlbAutoRepair\mscorlib.tlb Notes
Si instala la versión de 32 bits de SQL Server 2008 en sistemas operativos de 64 bits, busque la siguiente subclave del registro:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\Microsoft SQL Server\100\Tools\Shell\TlbAutoRepair\mscorlib.tlb
Si instala SQL Server 2008 Express con Advanced Services, busque la siguiente subclave del registro:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Microsoft SQL Server\100\Tools\ShellSEM\TlbAutoRepair\mscorlib.tlb
# En el panel derecho, haga doble clic en TlbPath .
# En el cuadro datos del valor , reemplace %CLRVERSION% con el valor siguiente:
v2.0.50727
