I just installed Microsoft's SyncToy.
Wow, what a great start. I can't wait to see features being added. Here are ideas I would like to see:
- An Addins/plugin architecture (so that we can build our own addons).
- An automatic update (scheduler style). Or real time (FileSystemWatcher)
- The ability to sync between to sites that are not connected ! For example, synchronize 2 Gig of files between home and work via a single (or more) USB sticks of various capacity. Even if takes 5 days to complete, once completed, no worries.
For the last point, that would be great to synchronize different applications and settings between various locations. I'm already using plaxo to synchronize my contacts in outlook and SyncIt for my favorites.
