Since January I have been writing articles for the simple-talk website. We are up to six now!

My most recent article concerned a concept that I called Code Deodorants as a means to try to prevent Code Smells. This particular article has generated some debate about the term Code Deodorant and whether or not what I am really talking about is better described as Prefactoring.

I would love to hear your thoughts. Do you have any practices that you follow to try to prevent code smells from developing?
