Found a great little utility application for finding the size of directories and files.

 

I have always used TreeSize Professional v3.33, but it does cost money. (http://www.jam-software.com/treesize/index.shtml)  

 

There is an alternatives:

 

WinDirStat - Directory Statistics

 

"Shows where all your disk space has gone and helps you clean it up."

based on Stefan Hundhammer's KDE (Linux) program KDirStat (http://kdirstat.sourceforge.net/).
