.NET Hobbyist Programmer Staying Confused in a Busy World

First, I am somewhat depressed that I am not attending a TechEd conference right here in my home town.  It would be less than a 30 minute commute and I could stay in my own home.  Regretfully, the day job is very busy right now and the family budget does not support me going off and having a week of fun by myself.

For those of you in town for the conference, the humidity is normally not this bad.  A tropical ridge has been plopped down on top of us for the past 5 or 6 days, so everything is soaked.  Before that, we were very dry and pleasant.  Sorry guys, but you cannot always get the best weather.

Enjoy your time here.  I will be reading your blogs and looking at the official materials when they are posted.

As for the hotels and the conference center, be aware that attendees are generally viewed as walking money pots and the local businesses are looking for ways to separate you from your money.  To the locals, you help keep our property taxes low because of all the extra fees you end up paying.  Sorry, but that is how it works.  Have fun.
