Like there was any doubt I would, but I have accepted the offer to work at Microsoft.  No start date has been set, but I'm thinking it'll be 3-4 weeks from today.  No comes the fun part of trying to sell my house and buy a new one in the Redmond area.  We only live about 3.5 hours away (driving time) so it shouldn't be too bad if we need to make a quick jaunt up there.  I am extrememly excited and can't wait to get up there.  It's been pretty emotional so far (especially for my wife) but I think its the right thing to do.

Well, the good news came at last.  Microsoft is putting together an offer letter as we speak now and it should be in my Inbox by tomorrow.  The position is called a Programmer Writer for the business server team (Biztalk, Host Integration and Commerce Server I think).  It's a job that combines both of my passions together (programming and writing naturally) and is the perfect fit for me.

I also want to just take a moment and say something for those that are trying to land a job at Microsoft.  My only word of advice is to never give up.  Believe it or not, I have interviewed there a total of 4 times (the 4th time being the charm).  I learned a little bit of key information after each interview.  Sure it was very disheartening to be turned down 3 times but I took those rejections as a chance to learn what I need to work on.  So keep going for it.  You'll eventually make it.

One more thing, keep in mind that I still haven't accepted the offer.  I still have to convince my wife.  That's gonna be tough.
