The installation went very well... now it supercharged Windows 2003 to look more like Windows XP SP2 with firewall and popup blocker, two obvious changes so far. By the way, .NET framework version is bumped up to v1.1.4322.2300

There is a rumor that Microsoft will release Visual Studio.NET 2006. That might be true. Look for new interesting features........... Hehe.....but the code name of the product is Whidbey. Sounds familiar? It's very likely that it's actually Visual Studio .NET 2005 which slips the previous release date. Recently, I just noticed that Oracle has released Instance Client which is a new component which allows the applications to connect to Oracle Database server without going through pains in installing Oracle Client, configure Oracle Home, yada yada. It is pretty small (200-600k) and will work with ODBC, JDBC. This will improve the availability of clients that can connect to Oracle Database server. When will it be the turn of .NET Managed Provider for Oracle then
