As with the nature of this blog (till now), I keep choosing what I think is pretty cool, and relatively not so known for whom I think read this (yeah - sometimes those are easy to get to alone. I admit, but I know that intended readers didn't!).
This time, I've come to some really cool ATLAS Stuff, although not all so new.
- ATLAS April CTP: This is mostly a bug fix of ATLAS March CTP as I know, which had pretty enhancements like full design time support and so, plus a Go Live license (which includes April CTP now). You may like to check also the installation instructions.
- ATLAS Documentation: This is a comprehensive set of guides and quickstarts that should put you on track very quick.
- ATLAS Control Toolkit: A great downloadable collection of ATLAS enabled controls covering many everyday functions in web developement. A real productivity suite that you would pay for some of its includes only and write/copy/plug repeated code for some (However, you'll find a couple of them look like web parts, but with simpler model. I wonder if that's all they give v.s web parts!).
Also, check this great post from Scott Gu. weblog, or the toolkit homepage for more information (if you really don't know Scott, I'll tell in next point!).
By the way, there's a comprehensive quickstart on how to make your own ATLAS extender control, for more info check this blog post from ATLAS father!
- ATLAS Presentations & Samples: This is from Scott Guthrie, General Manager, Microsoft Web Development Platform weblog. His blog is the No. 1 resource for ANY ASP.NET developer, and mentioning it is all enough for you as benefit from this post and entire blog maybe. Scott generally is very active in the community, and he is now the ASP.NET hero to many developers including me. In here, he has many useful resources (he made most by himself) that you shouldn't miss if going with ATLAS as your beloved AJAX framework.
By the way, he has more ASP.NET presentations in his site if you're interested, plus, a fancy photo album ;-).
- Scott's Todo List Demo!: How cool is it to develop an AJAX enabled Todo list in 18 minutes, creating the list (strating with DB) and testing it in 12 of them, and AJAX enabling (that means giving it some cool fetures you must see yourself) it as well as tetsing and presenting it in the rest 6 minutes? All with real time demonstration! You'll know by checking out this video Scott has made :).
You may also check other ATLAS videos.
- ATLAS Blogs: Of course this doesn't include mine ;-)! I've already highlighted Scott's weblog, and there's also Nikhill's weblog. I call him the ATLAS father, as he's the guy leading the great AJAX framework, so, checking his blog, you get it from the source. Also, there's Bertrand Le Roy's weblog, “More ATLAS Stuff weblog“, which has many interesting code samples to use with ATLAS and in ASP.NET generally (check his cool ATLAS accordion [how to build], and tab strip controls [w /code]).
- ATLAS Forum Posts: This is a page on the ATLAS official site aggregiating ATLAS forum posts from the ATLAS Discussions and Suggestions sub section of the ATLAS Preview section at ASP.NET Official Forums.
Hopefully soon, I'll also post what I believe are the coolest ASP.NET 2.0 resources. It's just that all I have in mind now are already on Scott's weblog :-).
