Rumor: Microsoft offered $80 Billion for Yahoo

Microsoft Watch has a short post on when $80 Billion is not enough:

But there were rumors this past weekend that Microsoft offered $80 billion for Yahoo. Yahoo was said to have rejected the bid as too low

Wow.  I wonder what the shareholders at both companies would think of that deal.  Talk about a possible merger that might start Google shaking just a little...
