Thanks to everyone who attended my session today at NoVa Code Camp.  Both the code and PowerPoint slides are available for download.

Download samples for: MVC in the Real World. Check out the readme.txt file in Solution Items and all SQL scripts for creating the databases.

# Which do you like better: StructureMap or Unity 10/11/2009 11:31 PM Nathan
Whico IoC container would you recommend,StructureMap or Unity? I do use a lot of MS EnLib for logging, validation, data access etc

@Nathan - My personal preference is StructureMap and I do recommended it. I believe it is the best one with robust features and very easy to use. However, StructureMap is also the one that I'm most *familiar* with so you have to take any recommendation (from me or anyone else) with a grain of salt. I'm not recommending *against* Unity. In fact, given that you're already using EntLib in other areas, Unity could be a good choice for you.

Windows7 users - After you download the zip file, go to file properties and Unblock the Security check. Otherwize all DLLs will be marked with this stupid security check and thing will not run. I spent almost whole day chasing that stupid SecurityPermission exception from nowhere. Also on my Win7 machine and IIS7, StructureMap runs only in FullTrust, so those using shared hosting and such - beware!

@VladB - Thanks for the info for Win7 users. Also the latest version of StructureMap (2.5.3) should not require full trust: http://codebetter.com/blogs/jeremy.miller/archive/2009/02/01/structuremap-2-5-3-is-released-and-the-future-of-structuremap.aspx. However, the version that I've got bundled with the sample is only 2.5.1 so you'll most likely run into the same problem if running IIS and not cassini. Thanks.
