I know I have been away from this blog too long, and I am going to wrap up on my Directory Services Part 3 and 4 in 2 weeks and get those posted.

I've been snatched out of the 'design box' and have spent the last several weeks on a deep-dive, total immersion of MOSS - Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007.

I've been very fortunate to be on an RDP, TAP and DEMO development efforts for MSFT (Microsoft) and after all the initial pains - my first take is THIS IS AWESOME STUFF!

Key areas that we thought would be of great benefit on the blogs are Customization / Chrome (the changing of the look/feel); BDC - Business Data Catalog - what is this feature in detail (I'll post a comprehensive walk-through involving connecting to SQL Server and provide some foundation on the uses of the BDC); Custom Workflows (this was one of the more tedious challenges); ECM - Enterprise Content Management - the new playing field and out of the box (OOB) features and how-to's.

I am not a MSFT Evagelist out singing about a new frontier - but I am genuinely excited about the changes in Office, ASP and .Net 2.x and where MSFT is going with MOSS.

Stay tuned, and get excited.
