Drive mapping using a GMail Account

Have a GMail account and want to use it simply for backup? If so, check out this tool I just found.

Note: I haven't had a change to test it out yet. So if you get a chance to try it out, please reply to this post and let me know how it worked out.

GMAIL DRIVE

GMail Drive is a Shell Namespace Extension that creates a virtual filesystem around your Google GMail account, allowing you to use GMail as a storage medium. GMail Drive creates a virtual filesystem on top of your Google GMail account and enables you to save and retrieve files stored on your GMail account directly from inside Windows Explorer. GMail Drive literally adds a new drive to your computer under the My Computer folder, where you can create new folders, copy and drag'n'drop files to.

Hi there,
I am behind a corporate firewall. So the S/w is not connecting to my gmail account.

Any solution for this?

Works great, it has nice features such as
SSL over HTTP or also refered to as HTTPS,
and it has the ability to use a proxy.

y cant connect with gmail drive it gives me a
login failed y have check user and pass and the connection to the internet.
I´m in XP sp2 behind a domain and a pix 506e firewall.
Nothing in the eventvwr

Hi, I'm using Gmail Drive, it works fine... but if you are behind a firewall then maybe you can get some troubble. Right now i'm looking for the ports that Gmail Drive used to connect to the Internet. If someone know wish ports are their, please tell me on this blog.
