I came accross this interesting post regarding the ability of the new Google desktop application.  Apparently, users of shared computers should beware about using this tool as it allows password credential checks to be bypassed.  Check out the full story here .  A spokesman from Google said this is not a security hole - “it is not a bug, but rather a feature”.  Apparenlty, such behavior can be disabled (I have yet to try) so this really isn't quite the deal I have seen it made up to be.
