You know, I gotta tell you, for the most part I have the upmost admiration for the developers in Redmond. What they've done with the .NET Framework is fantastic, but once in a while I wonder if instead of free soda, they get free ganja!
It seems there is no easy way to add a description to a Windows Service; you know the description column in the service administrator?
The description can be inserted into the registry and I found a Code Project (they rock) article that shows you how to hack it in code; and it really isn't that dirty.

Thank you to the International .NET Association (INETA) for the honor of selecting me as a member of their speakers bureau last week. It's a pretty big thrill to even be included in a list whose names include people I have been seeing at groups and whose books I've been reading for a very long time; people like Brian Noyes, Juval Lowy, Andrew Brust, Stephen Forte, Carl Franklin, Tim Huckaby, Rob Howard, Scott Hansleman, Ken Getz, Michele Leroux Bustamante, Billy Hollis, Rocky Lhotka, and the lady who taught me how to “Do Objects“, Deborah Kurata (man, the list goes on and on doesn't it, and even includes some of the names of the new chosen nine). I've always enjoyed tremendously speaking at groups and functions so I'm looking forward to a whole of enjoyment through INETA speaking engagements now. Of over sixty candidates, INETA chose the following nine in this round:
John Alexander
Miguel Castro
Bill Evjen
Josh Holmes
Julia Lerman
Chris Menegay
Ted Pattison
Les Pinter
Bill Vaughn
My congratulation to all these people and I hope to one day get to meet them lall aong with the other INETA speakers.
