Exchange 2013: OAB configuration

Creating a new OAB in Exchange 2013

Step 1: Open the start menu

Step 2: Search for the Exchange management shell

Step 3: Press enter.

Step 4: Enter the following command to create a new OAB on Exchange 2013:

New-OfflineAddressBook –name “OAB NEW” –Addresslists “\Default Global Address List”

Assigning an OAB in Exchange 2013

Step 1: Open Internet Explorer.

Step 2: Browse to the Exchange 2013 ECP.

Step 3: Log on with an administrator account.

Step 4: Left click on “Servers” and select “Databases”

Step 5: Select the database you want to assign the OAB to

Step 6: Click on “Edit”.

Step 7: Left click on "client settings".

Step 8: Left click “Browse”.

Step 9: Select the Exchange 2013 OAB to assign to the mailbox database.

Step 10: Left click on Save.
