If you get the following error, while running the SharePoint Products and Technologies Configuration Wizard:

Internet Information Services is not installed. You must have Internet Information Services installed in order to use the SharePoint Products and Technologies Configuration Wizard

In order to resolve this, Open Server Manager, go to Roles and right click on Web Server

And in the Window that comes up, Enable the option that says IIS 6 Metabase Compatibility (Installed)

i installed MOSS2007 on Windows Server 2008 R2 using SQL Server 2008 successfully, my sitecollection is working fine from standalone machine but website is not working from other machine in LAN, during installtion i opt Basic installation , is this access problem because of this only or with IIS [please reply soon]
