New laptop recommendations anyone?

I'm currently using an HP dv9000 which has worked well but it's moving to another project so I'm getting a new laptop for work. I've personally had good experiences (for the most part) with my HP though several co-workers have had horrible experiences with theirs so I'm looking at other vendors besides HP...so what has anyone else been using that is a rock solid laptop for development?

I really like my laptop. It's great...full keyboard...huge screen...great processor and RAM.

Mind you, I run a HP dv9000 so...

I think one of the best laptops out there is the Dell Latitude D630. Unfortunately Dell's customer service, and especially the finance department, have gone down hill quickly, but the quality of the laptop itself rocks.

It depends on what you are looking for:

Business Laptop:
T61 ThinkPad

It supports seperate dual monitors with the advanced dock!

Tablet:

Tablets are great to have.

The ThinkPad X61 Tablet is cool, and you can get a deal on a referb:

The best Tablet period, right now is the Dell Lattitude XT:

It does both multitouch and tablet pen touch!
And you can get refurbs, for about $1000 off.

Another option is to pick up a MacBook and dual boot OS's.

All are great choices, have fun, you rock.

D'Arcy - does your dv9000 have the Intel or AMD chip? Without trying to start a religious processor war, I've noticed the batch of dv9000's we bought with the AMD chips have had a number of issues with the motherboard, graphics cards, and memory while the lone Intel one I have hasn't had those issues yet. Could be a bad batch (we had a batch of Dell 2650's we bought years ago that all had to have system board replacements - incidentally those were Intel based systems).
